London Small Business Bookkeeper & BookkeepingWe offer help and support in setting up or using Quickbooks and SageLine50 for small business. We use SAP, Cedar and Oracle in larger organisations in addition to advanced Excel. For
large corporations we recommend SAP which can be built to suit your
requirements, with particular customisation that fits in with your
organisation's accounting function. There are modules that can be added
to suit your business strategic plan, so that for example you can
integrate e-procurement with accounts payable. SAP also offers a
streamlined interface with other large corporate software. For
smaller businessess we recommend the very versatile, detailed and user
friendly Quickbooks. Although we would classify it as good as Sage, it
costs a lot less and we don't see the point in paying double when you
can do the job just as well for less money. Cheaper still is MYOB but
we find that difficult to use. With Quickbooks there are several ways
to input transactions - for example a user friendly way for
non-accountants (eg. enter "bank charges here"...) as well as the
facility to do the same thing but on a more technical level for
accountants (eg. post accrual journal). Quickbooks Accountant & BookkeeperHere at Bond Street Accounting services we are using Quickbooks Pro for our own accounts and bookkeeping. We've not had any problems with it and it's at least half the price of the nearest equivalent Sage Line 50 (which is also good but so, so overpriced by comparison). It's not just about money though. You can get a package like MYOB for even less, but we found that quite un-user friendly and didn't like the interface or navigation. With Quickbooks we think we got a good software package that is easy to use, does what it says on the tin, and at a cheap price! Can't go wrong really, so we will continue to use it and to recommend it.
